Complete Easter egg packaging design

This is complete design, which I developed in few days. Designer Leigh Armstrong sent me feedback in last minute, when I almost completed my design. And I had to change it: first of all he suggested to add some new shape to design to make it different from last year. Also he advised to add my new KitKat logo to the foiled egg. I think new design looks a lot better and definetely different from last years pack. During my study I learnt how difficult to make packaging prototype without tehnology. Aslo is difficult to come up with new packaging design but do not copy last years packs. I included feedback from Leigh below:

Hi Aleksandrs

Good to hear from you and I hope the graphics course is going well.
I have read your brief and looked over your two designs, the brief is a good one
which details the developments we have run on the medium carton pack to reduce
size and replace all plastic with board to make it fully recyclable but with the basket
still remaining giftworthy.
As these packs retail at a smaller price than in previous years reducing the pack size
will still remain important, Constructionly both your ideas are square which is fine but
no different from last years pack, I would suggest adding some shape to make the pack
more giftworthy but still keep the edges and top flat for stacking.
The chocolate egg should be foiled but doesn't have to be plain gold, maybe add some of
your new logo to it or replicate the design of your egg illustrations on the egg foil.
The colours and new kitkat logo of your design are good and different from existing.

Hope this helps
Regards
Leigh

This is Easter Egg packaging design for my PP5 module. It is not completed yet, because I still wait for the feedback from Chesapeake's designer Leigh Armstrong. I think this design makes Easter atmosphere. I will place real chocolate egg inside packaging, also I'll make a chocolate bar to place together with egg

Further design development work

After first group critic I decided to create two 2 design solutions and to present it to group critic again as I would present it to my client or mentor, because I sent e-mail to the designer, who works in Chesapeake (Designing company in Bradford), but didn't get an answer from him. So I decided to present 2 design solutions to my group critic- as my clients.
The feedback what get from them was: they liked font, which I chose for the KitKat brand, colour is successful, which is also currently used for KitKat Easter Egg packaging design. I think, this is quite good colour to use for design work, because it is bright, people can see it from distance and also it brings freshness. Also my group critic told me, that they like first design, due to large window, because people can see the product they buy. Then I created my own KitKat chocolate bar. I didn't want to break traditions (current Nestle's Easter Egg packaging design has a chocolate bar inside as well). So I made my own bar to keep style, but also to make something new. If I left same font, same phrases on packaging, same images, it would be still current design with little changes, but I wanted to create a bit new thing, which could be even better than current.
